They are doing a damn good job of making it look like they did not vet her at all. It becomes more convincing with each passing moment, in fact, but I remain unconvinced.

Welcome home. Here we (henceforth to be understood and taken as the Royal We) believe that you can't make sense out of nonsense. We have a very liberal policy on pants in that they are entirely optional and not at all encouraged. Sometimes we blog slow and sometimes we blog quick. Join me, will you not?
